Based out of the Triangle Sportsplex in Hillsborough, North Carolina TYHNC has Recreational programs for Mites (8 and under) through Midget.

TYHNC offers a full slate of Recreational and Travel teams to selective teams based on the population base in Durham, Chapel Hill and Hillsborough which tends to fluctuate with University students. Since TYHNC has a smaller program, there is a continuity between coaching staff and administration from year to year. All coaches are required to be USA Hockey Certified for the level they are coaching as is required by USA Hockey. All teams are registered with the Carolina Amateur Hockey Association (CAHA) in the Southeastern District.

Travel teams play in the Carolinas Hockey League which includes all Select and Travel Teams from Richmond to Atlanta.

Recreational teams play in RYHA House League.
